Last weekend I went to Boise, Idaho for the JIFU Travel Kick-Off event and what a fun weekend it was. Boise is an absolutely beautiful city and it reminded me so much of Boulder, Colorado with its health friendly restaurants and beautiful mountains off in the distance. The weekend was full of so much inspiration and I got to meet some of the most wonderful people while I was there. During the event, there was so much valuable information given to us about traveling and it has really inspired me to get out and travel more as a family.
In case you did not know this, I am a huge travel bug! Before I started Physician Assistant school in 2013, I traveled the world. From Egypt, to Bali to Greece and more, I truly believe travel has shaped me into the person I am today. Seeing how other people live has been incredibly eye opening, humbling and has created such a sense of gratitude for our life here in the US.
Some of the stories that were shared at the event involved families of 5+ traveling the world. Up until now I have wanted to wait until the kids were a little older to start traveling but after this past weekend, I’ve gained a whole new confidence in knowing that we can do it now! I have already been on the hunt for our next destination as a family.
Lastly, if you have not heard of JIFU Travel yet it’s because it’s a new company that just launched in February of this year. It’s a wholesale travel club that allows you to travel for wholesale prices. (Imagine 40% savings off what you’d see on big travel websites.) One of the reasons we have not traveled as much as we’d like is due to the cost but with JIFU now, that hurdle is gone. Feel free to check out this post for more info about JIFU Travel! You can even explore it yourself for FREE with a Buddy Pass.
