Well hello hello! We could not get Jude to look at the camera for the life of us in the picture above. He is going through a stage now where he just wants to run around All. Day. Long. Getting him to even sit still for this picture was hard work! But I think it turned out cute anyways. 🙂
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here and I just wanted to pop by and say hi. I have been a little MIA lately and wanted to fill you all in on what has been going on over here.
Well, we moved! We made the big journey up to Pennsylvania and if there is one reason I have not really been on social media it is because of this. What a huge transition it has been for all of us! We initially came up and stayed with Tom’s mom so we could scope out the area and look for a place. We found the most darling little condo’s up in the hills and moved in after 2 weeks of being up here. When they say moving is one of the top biggest life stressors they are right. Between moving everything in, unpacking and trying to settle in, it has been rough. And honestly, I am exhausted. It has been a little over two months now and things are finally starting to settle down. Items are unpacked and our place is starting to feel more like a home. I am trying not to put too much pressure on myself to get everything all done at once because I know it is a process. However, I am one of those people that wants everything done “right now” so it’s been a little stressful.
Over all things have been going well as far as the move is concerned. It is starting to get chilly up here which is really exciting. One of the reasons we really wanted to move was to embrace the four seasons. We moved over summer which was similar to Florida weather so this new chilly weather is exciting for us. I can’t want to see the leaves start changing colors!
So what else is new?
Well Jude started daycare. I was a little nervous at first because my mom watched him while we were in Florida but I knew he was getting to an age where he needed to be around other kids. At home I felt like he needed more stimulation and things to do. We started looking once we got up here and found a really nice daycare close to us. He has been going for about a month now and he loves it! The people there are so nice, he is constantly busy and when he comes home he eats dinner, plays for a bit and goes to bed. I think it is really good for him. He has little buddies there that he plays with, runs around all day and within a week of going, he was learning new things. His vocabulary has already expanded so much. I am really happy with how it is going there.
Also, I started my new job! It was a big transition, especially with learning a new system and way of working. But I am really enjoying it. Everyone is so nice. My schedule is really flexible and I am getting to spend more time at home with my family which is really nice.
Things are just more laid back up here and I really appreciate it. In Florida I constantly felt like I needed to “go go go” and up here I can sit back and take a deep breathe. Time just moves slower up here. I am definitely still adjusting to everything but I have to say I am happy we took the leap, change is good!
Well there you have it. I hope everyone is having a nice day. Hopefully now that things are settling down I can get back into regularly blogging again. So stay tuned!
